A 1-hour consultation with Peckham Architecture includes project meeting notes, cost estimate and fee proposal for $250. When it is possible to determine your project’s scope, schedule and services with reasonable accuracy in advance, we charge a fixed fee based on construction costs.

When the services are difficult to define, we bill at an hourly rate. Hourly fees also apply to predesign services, partial services, conceptual design, particular project phases, renovations, preparation of record drawings, and additional expertise or services. For prospective clients and projects still in the concept phase, we also offer a Project Report. Ask us for details.

Peckham Architecture works closely with you to establish the goals and scope of your project. We typically work with custom home builders to quantify the cost of a build as we develop your drawings. Ideally, we will select the builder during the schematic design phase of the project, then ask them to update their estimate as the drawings develop. Builders may or may not be compensated for their work, depending on the likelihood that they will ultimately build the project.

Once we have agreed on a floor plan, we will create a 3-D rendering for your approval. This allows you to visualize the interior and exterior spaces from all angles, including the light conditions at different times of day or year. Then, we will create detailed construction documents and specifications for your approval.

After your general contractor or construction manager bids the project, Peckham Architecture will finalize the total cost and prepare a construction contract.

During construction, we will monitor progress and evaluate applications for payment, seeing your project through to the last detail.

Within your first year of occupancy, we will return to conduct warranty evaluations. For some projects, we also plan for Post Occupancy Evaluations: a standardized way to gather data on your building’s performance.
